About Sikkim Human Resource Development Department
The Sikkim Human Resource Development Department has conducted the entrance examination for the common at several examination centers. Sikkim HRDD will organize the TET Examination for the post of Primary Teacher and Elementary Graduate Teacher. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, formerly Ministry of Education, is responsible for the development of human resources in India. The Ministry is divided into two departments: the Department of School Education and Literacy, which deals with primary, secondary and higher secondary education, adult education and literacy, and the Department of Higher Education, which deals with a university education, technical education, scholarship etc. The erstwhile Ministry of Education now functions under these two departments, as of 26 September 1985.

Sikkim TET Qualification And Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- Primary Teacher: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks / D. El. Ed (2yrs) / B. El. Ed (4 yrs) / Special Education (2 yrs).
- Graduate Teacher (Elementary Stage) – B.A./B.Sc./ with 50% marks / D. El. Ed (2 yrs) / B. Ed. (1/2 yr).
