Shivaji University Profile :

Shivaji University (Marathi: शिवाजी विद्यापीठ), established in 1962, is in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. The university’s campus is 853 acres (3.4519 km2), and is named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. It was inaugurated on 18 November 1962 by Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the then president of India. Yashwantrao Chavan and Balasaheb Desai took the lead in establishing this university. Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara come under its jurisdiction with 279 affiliated colleges and recognised institutes.One of the major objectives behind its foundation was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. The University’s efforts towards excellence are being recognised by the substantial grants received from funding agencies like University Grants Commission (India), Department of Science and Technology (India), and DBT.

Shivaji University has recently signed MoU with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre for research in Material Science. It has also partnered with the Indian Institute of Geo-Magnetism, Mumbai and industries like Phyto-Pharma. Institutes including Maharashtra Police Academy and Nashik and Centre for Social Studies have sought affiliation with the Shivaji University.

Shivaji University Director recruitment required Education Qualifications Details:

• Ph.D with 1st Class degree at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level in Computer Science & Engineering /Computer Engineering  / Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / Electronics / Information Technology.
• Ten Years of Experience in Teaching University Department
• Ten Years of Experience in a reputed Industry / Software Company as a team leader and above in the development of software / Electronic data processing.
• Ten Years of experience in State International research organisation or Development units of recognised industries / software company in the field of development of software / electronic data processing.
  Proficiency in Marathi and English languages is essential.

Note: Candidate from Industry / Profess recognized professional work of high standard recognized at National / International level publications in journal/s having impact factor more than 1. Equivalent to Doctorate would also be eligible.
Requirement of Ph.D should
5 years of experience industry / software company.Experience with proven good outcome of development
and implementation of web MIS solutions is desirable. Director, Computer. level / National / Research &universities Profession with through at least two equivalent be relaxed in view of minimum web-technology based.
