(i) Must have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, or its equivalent examination as prescribed from time to time in sub-rule (2) of Rule 12 of A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules,1996.
(ii) Must have obtained National Council of Vocational Training Certificate in draughtsman (civil) Trade (two years course with surveying as one of the subjects in any Industrial Training Institute recognized by the Government of India) or must have passed either I.T.I Civil Draftsman) Or Intermediate Vocational (Construction Technology).
For Town Planning Building Overseer:
(a) Must possess a minimum qualification of a Diploma in D.C.E./ L.C.E./L.A.A awarded by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Technical Education (or)
(b) Degree in B.Arch, or B.E/ B. Tech (civil) or B Planning/ B. Tech (Planning) from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, recognized by the University Grants Commission. (or)
(c) Any other equivalent qualification to the qualification under (a) & (b) above as prescribed by the Govt from time to time and shall be enunciated by the Govt., thereto.

(v) Candidates belonging to other States shall pay the prescribed examination fee of Rs.80/-(Rupees eighty only) along with processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) through different channels as indicated at para-8. Otherwise, such applications will not be considered and no correspondence on this
will be entertained.
