Assam TET Qualification And Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- The candidate has to be a permanent resident of Assam.
Candidate must have passed senior/higher secondary examination with at least 50% marks. - He/she should have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE with at least 45% marks. Or
- Senior secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks with 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. Ed).Or
- Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks with 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
- Graduation from any UGC recognized university and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Age of the candidate should not be above 43 years as on January 1, 2016. Upper age limit is relaxed by five years for SC/ST candidates.
