AIMS OF SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN
The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is to provide useful and relevant elementary education for all children in the 6 to 14 age group by 2010 and to bridge social, regional and gender gaps, with the active participation of the community in the management of schools.
Organizational Structure of Goa Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Society Governing body headed by Chief Secretary as Chairman. The Executive Council headed by Secretary (Education).The State Project Office headed by State Project Director.The District Project Office headed by District Project Officers (additional charge given to DDE (South) and DDE (Central).The Block Resource Centre headed by Block Resource Coordinator and assisted by 6 Block Resource Persons. The total no. of BRCs in the state of Goa are 12. The Cluster Resource Centre headed by 1 Cluster Resource Persons at every centre. The total no. of CRCs in the state of Goa are 110 at 12 blocks.
