Goa Board of School and Higher Secondary Education will conduct exams for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) Exam in may 2017.
About GBSHSE:
The Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) is the main state board of education in the Indian state of Goa, responsible for secondary and higher secondary education management in its affiliated schools. The board is an education board native to the state of Goa. The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education was established on 27 May 1975 under “The Goa, Daman and Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975”.

Advise the government on matters of policy relating to secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters. Lay down guiding principles regarding curricula and syllabi for the entire secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabi for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education. Advise the Government in the standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment, stationery and other amenities required for secondary and higher secondary schools. Prescribe and prepare textbooks for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education. Prescribe conditions for admission of regular and private candidates to the final examinations. Declare the results of the candidates at the final examinations conducted by it.

GOA TET Qualification And Eligibility Criteria:
GOA TET Qualification Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I):
Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks. Those appearing in final 2-yearDiploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.
Goa TET (GATET) Qualification Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II): Applicants having B.A. / B.Sc and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and passed / appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc are eligible for GATET.

GOA TET Application Fee differs from general category candidates and reserved category candidates. Applicants need to wait for some more time for the updates of Goa TET Exam Date and application fee.
Age Limit:
Every candidates must maintain 18 years.
