There are 56 Hospitals, 114 Community Health Centres and 485 Primary Health Centres in the State. The head of health services at the district is Civil Surgeon while the civil hospitals are headed by Principal Medical Officers/Medical Superintendents / Senior Medical Officers. Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres are headed by Senior Medical Officers and Medical Officer in-charge respectively.

Educational Qualification:
- For Professor Posts – Candidates should have an MS, MD, MSC with Ph.D., DSC in Cardiology, Neurology, General Medicine or the related field from a board approved by Indian govt.
- For Senior Resident Posts – Applicants should possess an MD, MS, PG Diploma in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Radio Diagnosis, or any equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrator/ Tutor Posts – MD in Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or any relevant qualification.
