Educational Qualifications – Remember contenders can get the Music Department Eligibility Criteria and also for the remaining departments.
- The Assistant Professor for the Music Department: Contenders should have the excellent academic record with at least 55% marks at their Master’s Degree level. And contenders must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET). Even the NET/JET shall not be required for such Master’s Programmes in disciplines for which NET/JET is not yet conducted.
- For all the Other Assitant (Regular) Departments: Candidates must have the minimum qualification for the appointment of JPSC Assistant Professor in Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Social Science, Commerce and Languages to apply. They should bare good academic record with the minimum 55% marks at the Master’s degree or equivalent. And must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET)/Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) or equivalent test accredited by U.G.C. Else more, the candidates who have obtained the Ph.D. Degree by UGC prescribed Minimum Standard and Procedure Regulation 2009.
Age Limit – The Upper Age Limit for the Assistant Professor (Backlog) is 53 years. And the minimum age required for the applicant for the Assistant Professor (Regular) post if 50 years.
Age Relaxation – The age relaxation for the candidates belonging to the category SC/ST & Ph.D. will be of 5 years. And for the OBC aspirants, it will be of 3 years as per the Government norms.
