About Mizoram Board of School Education
The Chairman is a whole time officer appointed on contract service by the Government on terms and conditions agreed to between the person selected and the Government. The duty of the Chairman is to see that the provisions of the MBSE Act, rules and regulations made thereunder are faithfully observed and he shall have all powers necessary for the purpose. The Secretary is the Chief Administrative Officer responsible for carrying out all the programs and policies of the Board. He is assisted by three Branch Heads namely – the Director (Academic), the Controller of Examinations and the Deputy Secretary (Adminograph appended).

Mizoram TET Exam Qualification And Eligibility Criteria
Paper I Teachers of Classes I-V Qualification:
- Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks.
- Those appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.
Paper I Teachers of Classes VI-VIII Qualification:
- Applicants having B.A. / B.Sc and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed.
- Or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA.
- Or B.Sc are eligible for MZ TET.

- General category or OBC candidates – Rs. 500/-
- Reserved category candidates -Rs. 250/-
