The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), now under National Health Mission[1] is an initiative undertaken by the government of India to address the health needs of under-served rural areas. Launched in April 2005 by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the NRHM was initially tasked with addressing the health needs of 18 states that had been identified as having weak public health indicators. The Union Cabinet headed by Dr.Manmohan Singh vide its decision dated 1 May 2013, has approved the launch of National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) as a Sub-mission of an overarching National Health Mission (NHM), with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) being the other Sub-mission of National Health Mission.

NHM, Karimnagar MO, Compounder, Sweeper Cum Nursing Orderly required Education Qualifications Details:
Medical Officer : Must possess a Degree in Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Yoga & Naturopathy awarded by a University in India established or incorporated by or under a central act or provincial act or an institution recognized by UGC or any statutory Board of the State Government after having undergone a regular course of institutional study in respective systems. Both in theory and practice for a period not less than four and half years recognized by a University or State Government with one year compulsory internship. Must have a valid registration from Board of Indian Medicine, Telangana State.
Compounder / Yoga Instructor :Must have passed Intermediate with Science groups or its equivalent examination.
Sweeper-Cum-Nursing-Orderly :He/She can be able to read and write the language or one of the language of the district.
