About National Seeds Corporation(NSC):

National Seeds Corporation (NSC) is a Schedule ‘B’-Miniratna Category-I company wholly owned by Government of India under the administrative control of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. NSC was established in March-1963 to undertake production of foundation and certified seeds. At present, it is undertaking production of certified seeds of nearly 600 varieties of 60 crops through its registered seed growers. There are about 8000 registered seed growers all over the country who are undertaking the seed production programs in different agro-climatic conditions. The turnover of the Corporation for the F.Y. 2015-16 was ` 805.50 crores.  In the seed production, an emphasis is given for production of oil seeds, pulses, and hybrids including vegetables. Besides, production and distribution of quality seeds, NSC is also involved in the production of Tissue Culture Plants like Banana. It also undertakes supply of seedlings/saplings of fruits crops through procurement from the MOU Partners. Seed marketing is carried out through three channels namely sale through dealers/distributors, Govt. (State/Central) and through NSC owned Sale counter. There are about 2500 dealers of the Corporation who account for more than 69% of the sale turnover.

National Seeds Corporation plays a key role in the implementation of various schemes of the Govt. of India like an integrated scheme for “Oilseeds, Pulses, Oil and Palm & Maize” (ISOPOM), “National Food Security Mission (NFSM)” and “National Horticulture Mission” (NHM). National Seeds Corporation(NSC) Posts Qualification:

Interested candidates can apply for NSC Recruitment 2017 for the following positions as per their Qualifications:

Consultant: Doctorate degree in Agronomy/Agriculture Extension/Plant Breeding including Agril. Botany with minimum 15 years of field experience in production/ improvement of oilseeds crops including oil palm under ICAR, SAUs/Institute/DAC or retired officers of DAC with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/- or equivalent for Rs. 5 years or more.

Technical Assistant: Master degree in Agronomy/Agriculture Extension/Plant Breeding/ including Agril. Botany or any field of Agriculture or related fields. Proficiency in computer knowledge like MS-Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet etc. Persons with experience of research, extension and crop development will be given preference.

Trainee-Tractor Driver: Secondary School Certificate plus valid Driving License for driving tractor with the trolley.

Project Director/Production Consultant/Marketing Consultant: Candidate should have experience in the field of organic farming, preferably a postgraduate in any field of agriculture of related discipline with minimum 10 years of experience in project management scheme implementation and agriculture production and market/ value chain development at the senior position.

Junior Technical Officer/Junior Marketing Officer: post graduation degree in agricultural science or related discipline with minimum three years experience in capacity building, handholding, FPC formation etc in agriculture/ organic farming

Office Manager: graduate in management / financial management with 8 years experience as administrative officer in project management/ IT management

Accountant / Computer Operator: degree of graduation having experience on the handling of project accounts.

IT Professional: graduated in computer science/ computer application with good skill in web enabled computer language assisted program development, management, and operations.

MTS: High school pass with excellent knowledge of computer work.

The selection procedure will be decided by NSC depending upon the response received against the post. The Selection criteria can be by way of personal Interview or by way of Group Discussion followed by personal interview. The decision of NSC will be final.
